The Good Life Belongs To You
A time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace.
Ecclesiastes 3:8 ESV
Many people dream about living a life full of peace and joy, although they wonder if it’s possible. But a life full of peace and joy is exactly what God wants for us. He has provided a life with goodness overflowing from our lives into the lives of others. Oh yes, it is possible. Never doubt it! There is a place where we are safe, where no evil or trouble can reach us. When you’re in this place, you will only experience “great peace and undisturbed composure”(Isaiah 54:13 AMP) despite the many storms in your life that you think you might never overcome.
When your heart is established in this place, you will experience the abundant life. It is a place where nothing is broken and nothing is missing. Your life flourishes and thrives in every area. While the world struggles to make ends meet, you are at ease.
You have experienced this place before: it is in God’s presence. There is no other place like it. Every problem disappears, impossibilities vanish, and there is no lack. Sin, fear and death are burned up like dross. In His presence, all the love you and I need, now or ever, overflows into our whole being.
We are created to live in His presence. If we make a choice to live as Psalm 23:1-5 says, we will experience what it is to live in His presence forever. And in addition to that, we will lack nothing. God wants us to live far above the average lifestyle of the world, and above every trial or temptation.
My pastor challenges us to yield to the Holy Spirit, who wants to unlock our thinking to the hugeness of the presence of God. The universe is still expanding at the speed of light and to our minds that is almost unthinkable. And yet the presence of God is ever so much more infinite than that.
Do you desire for every area of your life to be filled with His manifest presence? God wants this for us. We just need to be desperate for it. Are you hungry for more of God? You need to come to the point of wanting the things of God badly enough to no longer be able live without them.
How do you experience the His presence? God is a “…rewarder of those who diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6). God wants you lie down in the green pastures of rich fulfillment – beyond anything you could ask or imagine. His dream is for you to experience His manifest presence every moment of your life – in every area of your life – because that is Heaven on earth. If you want to experience the reality of His dream for your life, I encourage you seek Him like you have never sought Him before, from your heart.
Make a point to read Romans 8 and Psalm 23 out loud to the Lord in prayer every day. Those two chapters have continued to radically transform my life – and I believe they will do the same for you.
Will you make a choice to be desperate for this good life and do what it takes? Now, that’s the choice-driven life!

My only desire is to know God more and to have more of His presence in my life, that when I hear His voice, I am sure that it is Him and that do what He tells me to do. I knew that Romans 8 is an important chapter and I believe that Psalm 23 is also important…I will be aiming to follow up on what you said.
