More Essentials for Spiritual Growth and Development Pt 3

11. Know that you are Righteous.
There is a world of difference in a man’s self-righteousness and the gift of righteousness from God.  Self-righteousness boasts in itself, but the gift of righteousness can boast only in the finished work of Christ.  Righteousness simply defined is RIGHT STANDING WITH GOD.  It gives you the ability to be free of guilt, condemnation, fear, and inferiority.  These four problems rob many Christians of God’s blessings; it is easy to see why an understanding of righteousness could transform your life.  Imagine: no guilt, no fear, no condemnation, and no inferiority.  What a blessed life that would be!
The greatest enemy to faith is a lack of understanding of God’s Word. A lack of understanding regarding righteousness and its privileges holds more Christians in bondage than any other thing.

12. Renewing the mind
The Bible tells us that one of the highest, ultimate goals that God has in store for each one of us is our transformation in Him – and this transformation is accomplished by the renewing of our mind. Somehow people buy into the concept that they are what they are and there is nothing they can do about it. The 1# key of the renewing of the mind is: you can change to make your life what you want it to be. The renewing of the mind is a journey. Whatever your present place in life, you have the potential to move forward and experience more of God’s will and plan. The Bible tells us that one of the highest, ultimate goals that God has in store for each one of us is our transformation in Him – and this transformation is accomplished by the renewing of our mind. Rom.12:2

13. You can live in Victory
Jesus has made a way for you to rise above trials, difficulties and problems. You can experience faith, hope and joy through the power of God’s Word. Get ready for miracles. Mankind was created to have dominion on the earth. Knowing what Jesus has done for you and in you will change your life. He destroyed the power of the devil 1John 3:8 You have been raised from death to life, from defeat to victory. You are what God says you are. You can do what God says you can do. God has plans for you that are beyond your wildest dreams. He has planned for you to live in Victory.
14. Speak in Tongues
Unless you allow Jesus to baptize you in the Holy Ghost, you won’t ever receive power from on High to do the works of God. Paul said you pray in tongues to edify yourself: “He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself” (1 Cor. 14:4). To “edify” means to build yourself up. Speaking in tongues builds you up to the point that you can believe God instead of circumstances.
Circumstances don’t have anything to do with God. He will remove circumstances if you’ll just believe Him. The way you believe is the way you talk. What you believe comes out of your innermost being. The words you speak come from your heart—your inner man. The words you speak show the exact shape that your inner man is in.

15. Understand That You Are Anointed
How do you know that you are anointed? You receive the anointing when you become born again. “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3).  Once a person receives Jesus as Lord and becomes born again, that person is anointed. The word Christ means “Anointing and His Anointed,” so in salvation you become anointed with Christ, because Jesus Christ comes into your life. The anointing is the burden removing and yoke destroying power of God.
All believers can experience a deeper anointing by being baptized with the Holy Spirit.

If you don’t know what it means to be baptized in the Holy Spirit; you can click here for more information.

Choose To Speak The Word Of God

Speak To The Mountain "Be Thou Removed"

Choose To Speak The Word Of God

by Olga Hermans

There is a difference between speaking to your mountain and speaking about your mountain. Speaking about your mountain will magnify the problem in your mind. The problem will begin to look bigger and bigger in your sight. But speaking to your mountain keeps things in proper perspective.

IF you don’t speak to your mountain, your mountain will speak to you. … It is your responsibility to speak to the mountain in your life. .

What is a mountain in a believer’s life? The mountain is the problem in your life. A mountain is anything that is a barrier to you completing God’s Will. A mountain is anything that is slowing down or impeding your progress in the Kingdom of God.

Many believers spend time praying to God about their mountain. They describe the mountain in full detail to God. They inform God of the exact dimensions of the mountain. They cry and moan to God about what a hindrance or impossibility the mountain is in their life.

Some people even use the “mountain” as an excuse for nonperformance in their Christian life. Some people make up doctrines and traditions about God, to justify why the mountain is still in their life.

Many believers will pray to God for Him to speak to their mountain. God will never do what he has commanded you to do. You pray to God to receive what Jesus has made available to you [Mark 11:24]. It is your responsibility to speak to the mountain in your life.

Praying and fasting will not move a mountain. Prayer and fasting deals with unbelief or lack of confidence in God’s Word

When you put God’s Word in your mouth, magnifying the Answer above all else, speaking to the mountain will cause it to move (Mark 11:23–24)!

Here is another very cool and precise translation:
Truly, anyone who speaks to that mountain yonder saying, “Dump yourself in the Lake,” and does not become separated from the statement he makes – that person will actualize his statement. When anyone’s expression in prayer is congruent with his inner being, his desire will be actualized!
(Mark 11:23 Ben Campbell-Johnson Translation)

So, let’s practice here right now; “Speak To The Mountain Be Thou Removed“.

What to say to a mountain of sickness:
“Sickness, in the Name of Jesus Christ, be thou removed from my life. Satan, I refuse to be your dumping ground for spirits of infirmity and disease. I resist your sickness, pain, and suffering, for it is written, ‘The Lord healeth all thy diseases.’ You mountain of sickness, be thou removed from my life for I am healed by the bleeding stripes of Jesus Christ.”

What to say to a mountain of trouble:
“You trouble, be thou removed from my life in the Name of the Lord, for the Name of Jesus is a strong tower; the righteous runneth into it and is safe. I rebuke marriage trouble, teenage rebellion, job difficulties and command them to be removed from my life! Hallelujah, the Blood of Jesus overcomes all trouble. I draw a blood-line around my life, my family, my home!”

What to say to a mountain of financial need:
“You mountain of financial need, be thou removed from my life for God wishes above all things that I prosper and be in health, even as my soul prospers. You foul spirit of poverty, I command you to be removed from my life for my God supplies all my need. You mountain of unpaid bills, be thou removed from my life for I am a tither, a cheerful giver and God is opening for me the windows of heaven. He is pouring out overflowing blessings and He is rebuking the devourer for my sake.”

Source of Confessions: Don Gossett

When you put God’s Word in your mouth, magnifying the Answer above all else, speaking to the mountain will cause it to move (Mark 11:23–24)!

Make a Choice this week :
1. Take a day and keep track of how many times you speak about the problem you’re facing.
2. Go to God’s Word—the Bible—and find out what it says about the problem.
3. Begin to replace your words about the situation with God’s Word on the matter.

Each time you begin to speak about the problem, remind yourself to speak to it, telling it to change and conform to what the Word says!

Come Together As One and Make A Symphony

I like to ask you this question: “Will You Make A Choice To Be A “Honker”? of course you will!

Will You Make A Choice To Be A “Honker"?

Have you ever heard a bunch of musicians warming up for a show or something? You know, how that sounds don’t you? When they are warming up on all the different instruments, it sounds terribly inharmonious, but when the conductor unites them and they “make a symphony.” The sound is beautiful and harmonious. This is a very powerful principle in life that Jesus gave us.

Matthew 18:19-20 says: Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. The Amplified Bible paraphrases the words “shall agree” as “make a symphony.” Isn’t that awesome?

Make a choice to come together even when there are strong differences between you and another person. Who are “they” in verse 19? These are the parties who once fell out. They’ve come together and now can move forward. When you make a decision to talk, you have made a decision to shut off the ability to stop Satan in his tracks, and the ability to heal a potential problem. When you make the decision not to talk and not say anything about the subject ever, you have decided, ‘Satan, you can have full range in my relationship.’

When two or three are gathered together in the authority of Jesus, God is in the middle of them instead of the devil.
Walking in love means the enemy can never cause you to lose. You will always be a winner if you refuse to live in strife, and choose to patch it up with the people with whom you’ve had trouble. God said, “I will be in the middle of your gathering, and I will make good on whatever you agree.”

That’s the key to the kingdom that Jesus gave you!

Let’s have a look at Moses and Aaron. They formed a divine partnership before Pharaoh. Moses felt very weak and unqualified. God is always patient with us and in this case He sent Aaron, his older brother. God promised to be with all their words and teach them what to say which illustrates a very close relationship between God and his messenger. For the next four decades, these two men walked together doing great exploits for God.

“How could one person chase a thousand of them, and two people put ten thousand to flight . . . unless the Lord had given them up?” (Deuteronomy 32:30). Two people who are in agreement are five times more powerful than two individuals acting alone! Aren’t we all far away from this very Godly principle?

Moses and Aaron did not realize how much they would need each other until after their first round with Pharaoh. Not only did Pharaoh reject them, but also their own people rejected them.

Solomon said, “Two people can accomplish more than twice as much as one; they get a better return for their labor. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But people who are alone when they fall are in real trouble” (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10).

It is a scientifically proven that geese flying in a flock honk to encourage each other. Moses needed a “honker” in Aaron, and you, too, need others to support you. Choose to be a honker for somebody else and find your two or three “honkers,” and take on the “Pharaoh” in your life!

It’s the power of choice to be in agreement with each other; to come together as one and make a symphony. God is in the middle of them instead of the devil. Will You Make A Choice To Be A “Honker”? Make a choice and it will change your life.

Are you going to choose to be a honker for somebody?

Finding Time For God

Finding Time For God

by Olga Hermans

Unfruitful quiet times are a sign of immaturity. Wow…that is quite a statement isn’t it? It’s what a minister said once; let’s have a look at it, ok? Does that make feel uncomfortable and immature when you struggle with your own time of devotion, your own time to be with God. People start reading their Bibles and praying because they know it is the right thing to do or they heard that other people do it, but soon they find themselves just going through the motions.

They read their Bible, shut it, and forget what they read. Or they pray about a couple things that are important to them. Then they go on with the rest of their day. They think they’re doing everything they’re supposed to do to be a mature Christian, yet they don’t understand why they feel so weak.

So, we can ask ourselves who has time for a devotional prayer life when there is such need for supplication and intercession. Let me tell you; we all do.

Why? Because it’s the richness and depth of our own devotional time with God that determines how much of the heart of God we have. It’s our daily, personal intimacy with Him that determines how well we live.

Only One Thing
If you remember, Martha complained to Jesus that her sister Mary wasn’t helping her serve. But Jesus told Martha that her sister chose the better thing which was to sit at the Master’s feet and fellowship with Him.

That is a great story! It reminds me that life in God is wonderfully simple. Only one thing is absolutely necessary and that’s fellowshipping with the Master. Everything else we need to do will come from that time with Him.

When you begin to let that truth slip away from you, prayer can become very complicated and burdensome. People get disillusioned because they feel like they have done everything to get strong, but are still not strong. Why keep having quiet times? It doesn’t do any good to have devotional time if you’re not really connecting with God.

It’s time for serious Christians to stand up and say, “You know what? I’m tired of going through the motions and pretending I’m mature just because I’m doing this act. I’m only mature if I take what I read and apply it to my life and begin to do it.”
Let me ask you something. Do you want the strength to keep praying in faith for seemingly impossible situations day after day? Do you want the spiritual energy to keep praying in faith for your family or your nation or your lost neighbor even when all natural hope is gone? Of course, you do.

Making that choice might be hard, but the reward is so great! Making the choice to NOT make time for God might be easy, but the reward is struggle and doubt and condemnation and guilt and all that.

Well, faith works by love. So the more you fall in love with Jesus, the stronger your faith and your prayers will be.

That’s the truth! When you choose to make time and spend time just worshipping Him and surrendering yourself to Him, when in times of devotional prayer you begin to see Him and experience His love, your soul will absolutely burn to do something for Him.

You’ll be on fire with the power and desire to pray out His plan. You’ll pray for your family, for nations, for souls, and for the Church with greater effectiveness than ever before.

Your Love for Jesus Will Keep You on Track; do you believe that? It really does.
There is just something about spending time loving and worshipping God that will keep you on track.
No wonder Jesus, when He was asked what the most important commandment was, answered this way. “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind” (Matt. 22:37).

Jesus rebuked the church at Ephesus in the second chapter of Revelation. Despite their hard work and the fact that they held fast to sound doctrine, He said:
I have this [one charge to make] against you: that you have left (abandoned) the love that you had at first [you have deserted Me, your first love]. Remember then from what heights you have fallen. Repent (change the inner man to meet God’s will) and do the works you did previously [when first you knew the Lord], or else I will visit you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you change your mind and repent. Rev. 2:4-5 Ampl.

Did you also read what He said there about them falling from the heights? If you want to go to high places in the spirit, if you want to pray from that high place where you are seated with Jesus in the heavenlies, here’s how to do it:

Choose to spend time cultivating your love for Jesus. Spend time worshipping and ministering to Him. Spend time just getting to know Him through prayer and the Word. I’m telling you, the more you do that, the more you will fall in love with Him and the more you fall in love with Him the better you will pray.

Do you have an advise to the readers? What is your idea or suggestion?

The Power of Wise Words and Right Choices

Tell It Like You Want It To Be

The Power of Wise Words and Right Choices

by Olga Hermans

Proverbs is called the book of wisdom for a reason. In every chapter of that book, you can read about the various ways

not to be a fool. Fools probably don’t enjoy the fullness of their destiny. Some of them don’t even get on the right road. Others start going on the right road, but they get distracted and never get back out there. Others get to a successful place, but end up losing it in the end…because they go out and act like a fool!

Do you some of these people? They say something like: Oh, you know how God is…sometimes He does and sometimes He don’t!” You know what they do? They are calling God a liar and they act like a fool does. I try to encourage them and hope they receive that. Otherwise, they’re going to have a rougher time in life than they need to.

Fools cry and moan that God doesn’t provide for them right after He gave them an opportunity to work. Fools lie all day to others and get mad when somebody else does the same thing to them. They ask themselves how this could happen to themselves. It’s the principle of sowing and reaping! Fools also speak doubt. They talk bad about themselves. They tear themselves down, even when, in their heart of hearts, they really want to do something for God. What they really should do is: read proverbs and apply the wisdom to their own life.

If you want to find and stick to the road that leads to your divine destiny, you’re going to need wisdom and that comes from God. James 1:5 Wisdom also comes from knowing who you are in Christ and speaking by faith even when outward circumstances don’t give you any assurance at all.

There is a danger of “telling it like it is.” You can either tear yourself down or build yourself up. It’s up to you. Choose to speak faith. If you don’t “feel” it, don’t let that get you into “telling it like it is.” People who always “tell it like it is” end up living exactly as they tell it. Their faith is working; it’s just taking them in the wrong direction. You’ve got to “tell it like you want it to be” if you want your life to change and you want to progress.

Let what is in your mind come out of your mouth. Determined thoughts should lead to determined words. So, speak to your future as if is something tangible and it will eventually become tangible. You will see that dream, idea, vision or concept or whatever God has put in your heart come to pass.

Is this optimism? No, it’s faith. But it takes optimism to use faith, and that’s a good thing. Optimism is underrated in the natural mind, but it is God way of doing things to speak positive and speak life. You will have many opportunities to quit; don’t take any of them. Throughout the bible, you can find examples of people who got what they needed from God because they refused to give up.

The woman with the issue of blood is a very famous one. You can see that the words people spoke in those stories were an indicator of their faith. That is a lesson for you and me, that the words we speak are very important. It’s not the words you speak when you’re in church that matter. It’s the words you speak to yourself every day that make the difference.

The Bible says that, “You are snared by the words of your mouth; You are taken by the words of your mouth.” Prov.6:2. The devil may lay the trap, but it’s you who can either walk into it or not. Watch your lips!

One of my most favorite quotes is: “You are the prophet of your own life.”
The Power of Choice has been given to you and that makes your life choice driven!

What Are You Believing For?

Walk By Faith Not By Sight

What Are You Believing For?

by Olga Hermans

God is for you. God loves you. God wants to bless you, to give you not a fulfilling life, but also the desires of your heart, whether that is to do something or to have something.. God is for you. He is never against you. When you put your faith in Him, you can expect that He will prove Himself to you as a faithful Father, a surprising Father.

God is not looking for ways to condemn you, hurt you or make your path in life difficult. That’s what the devil does. That’s what a sin-sick earth brings.

Jesus died for our sins, to redeem us from all sin. The bible says you’ve been made FREE from the law of sin and death through the work of the cross. Jesus has washed you clean and God counts you righteous, which means that you can go through life without guilt, without shame and without limitation on your divine destiny. You are free. Don’t let the devil, your thoughts or anyone else steal that from you.

Your life doesn’t have to be boring, short-lived or poverty stricken. It can be long-lived and prosperous! You can fulfill God’s plan for your life when you are a doer of the word.

Why did Jesus come? So, that we might live! Jesus came to be our mediator to God and to restore us to our rightful place so that we could make heaven our eternal home and live a good and truthful life on this earth, too. Jesus said, “I have come that you might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” John 10:10 The life that we have been given is a real gift. It’s not been given to you and me to endure but to enjoy.

It’s enjoyment to do what you’re called to do. It’s enjoyment to recognize the greatness of your own life, whether you’ve been called to do something simple or complex. All of us have our place in this world. God knows that you are powerful. He knows that your words matter. He wants you to renew your mind and build a mental map on the road to your good destiny.

You and I were destined to love people. We are destined to walk by faith not by sight. We were destined to bring truth and faith into the lives of other people. This is our part as a believer, as a member of the body of Christ. This life is something that we are passing through. It’s not the only life we will live. Heaven is waiting for us! Our life is like a vapor according to James 4:14, but that doesn’t mean that it is unimportant.

This life can be good. You and I are going to do things here that we will remember and enjoy talking about for all eternity in heaven.

The years of your life pass by too quickly to just ignore your calling in life. You don’t have to live miserably. You don’t have to live bored. The lord can fill you up with His presence, His joy and His optimism for this life every day and not just on Sunday! His Word is going to produce faith in you. Faith is what makes things happen in the spirit realm and then in the natural realm.

If you don’t know this life; you can know it today by making a choice and pray this prayer for salvation:
Pray! “God in Heaven, I come to You in the name of Your Son, Jesus. I confess that I haven’t lived my life for You. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that He died on the cross and rose again from the dead so I might have a better life now and eternal life in heaven. Jesus, come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. From this day forward, I’ll live my life for You to the best of my ability. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen”.

6 Common Thoughts Of Singles That Are Very Deceptive

How can you avoid deception in your thoughts as a single person? In this post Hollywood’s Confusing Portrayal of Marriage was mentioned how New films make marriage look like a prison. Christians ought to be careful and avoid

Click Here To Purchase The Book

deception in any way possible to not let these publicized messages impact how we view marriage. Movies bring very unrealistic values to the table of marriage. God has meant marriage to be powerful in our life. Wow, we could talk about this for a while, isn’t it?

It’s not easy to avoid deception when we don’t gain any knowledge about the subject. What does the bible say about this? God says: my people perish for lack of knowledge; let’s say that we perish when we don’t act on the knowledge that we know. Acting on knowledge and be doers of the word is very powerful. Making right choices is powerful; to us is given the power of choice, right?

There is a lot of deception in the church in these days. Let’s look at some very deceptive thoughts that some single people have.

Deception #1: “He is not a Christian, but he is a great guy!”
The bible warns us NOT to marry a non-Christian. 2Cor.6:14. If you’re single or lonely, God knows. If you’re approaching a certain age, God knows how old you are. And He is not worried. The important thing is not to be married…it’s about choosing the right person to marry. And God can bring that person unexpectedly, just as He did for so many other people. We have to hold onto God’s Word, not a wish list and let God dictate our decision whether or not to marry someone.

Deception #2:” Having a Man Will Solve My Problems.”
Too often women convince themselves that if they could just have the one thing they don’t have, then they would be happy. Do you really think that loneliness might disappear and financial strains melt? Being in a relationship means trading in one set of concerns for another. I heard a marriage counselor once say “both parties need to bring 100% in to marriage”. Don’t expect that the other has to fill in your gaps!

Deception #3: “There Must Be something Wrong With Me If I Don’t have A Man”.
Within each of us is a desire to be known and loved. The bible says “It’s not good…to be alone”. Gen 2:18. Being alone can be very hard and it is natural to want a relationship so we can have companionship. The danger comes when our desire to escape being alone turns into an expectation or agenda. You can be easily disappointed if God doesn’t seem to follow your plans. Remind yourself of the truth about God’s love for you. “No good thing does He withhold from those whose walk is blameless.” Psalm 84:11

Deception #4: “My Soul Mate Is Out There Somewhere”.
One danger of the “soul-mate philosophy” is that it’s possible to believe you married the wrong person and to think that someone else must be your soul-mate. This is what Neil Clark Warren from Eharmony says: “Soul mates are made, not born. You start with the ingredients for a highly compatible, successful relationship and you work to develop closeness and intimacy.

Deception #5: “It’s Ok To Flirt As Long as Everyone Is Just Having Fun.”
Flirting is a body language. Flattery and flirtation and whatever means of drawing attention to oneself. There is a difference in flirting and being friendly. Within the marriage or as being single; it’s quite another thing to remain emotionally pure – not to flirt with another man and become emotionally attached to him. Isa 3:16 speaks of women with an attitude of pride in their physical beauty and form, walking with necks stretched forth and wanton eyes. The Amplified says, “Undisciplined (flirtatious and alluring) eyes, tripping along with mincing and affected gait, and making a tinkling noise with [the anklets on] their feet.”

Deception #6: “The Way I Dress Is None Of Your Business.”
Like it or not, but you are being watched. People watch people. Guys particularly watch girls and women. They watch how you dress. They watch your behavior patterns. They watch any signals you send. Whether you are naive or purposeful in what you do makes no difference to the fact that they watch you. Girls who are fashion conscious but naïve to the fact that society is pushing sexual freedom could be setting themselves up for hurt and regret.

Modesty doesn’t have to mean wearing sackcloth or no makeup and jewelry. As with all other decisions, wisdom is key.
It’s all about making the right choices and The Power Of Choice; your life can be truly choice driven in every area of your life.
“Modesty is a posture of the heart.” Joshua Harris

Make The Choice To Not Harbor Ill Will

Make The Choice To Not Harbor Ill Will

by Olga Hermans

“When we harbor ill will, it’s like letting that person rent space in our brain, but we pay the rent.” When someone hurt you and even deeply hurts you, quite often it leaves you with a feeling that they owe you something. You start to harbor ill will against that person; you have feelings of anger, hatred, lack of sympathy, bitterness, antipathy, coldness. That is what it means when we harbor ill will towards somebody.

We can have a whole list of emotions coming up on the inside of us and be counting up all the things what the other person did to us and on and on! You know, most of the time, the people who hurt you don’t even realize what they have done to you and how much they hurt you.

Let me ask you something. Do you really think other people are planning their life around hurting you? You probably know the answer, isn’t it? The truth is very seldom does someone intentionally set out to hurt another person. Yes, sometimes they do, but that is usually not the case. In normal situations people don’t want to do that.

When the situation occurs and people hurt you because they are insensitive, rude, or angry. You know, hurt people hurt people; I’s so true that hurting people, hurt people. If you allow this to make you so mad that your evenings at home are spent poaching over the situation, then you have allowed yourself to accept the devil’s bait and you give the devil a heyday.

While you’re miserable and upset, the person who has hurt you might be watching a movie having a good time and not even thinking about you. They may even be enjoying a piece of strawberry pie with whipped crème on it while you are at home taking Rolaids and trying to keep the pain in your stomach under control. You must understand that letting go of hurts in your life has no bearing on the other person. It’s something you must do with yourself.

You know, my own sister went through a divorce; she accused her husband saying, “You owe me.” Although he had hurt her for fifteen years, it was not within his power to give those years back. When somebody owes you a debt that they cannot pay, the only thing you can do is forgive the debt because it’s not within human power to change the past.

I know another woman, who actually loved hated her father very much. But there were two sisters in the family and she always felt that her father loved the other sister much more. At a younger age she started to build ill will against her father and after a while she became anorexia. The story is more complex than I can tell you here of course, but she wanted to have her father’s full attention and felt that “he owed her”. The father died; her anorexia took completely over because she wasn’t able to forgive and let the past be the past.

There are many sad stories like these; you probably know some yourself. It comes down to making the right choice for you and for others. The power of choice is given to us. Forgiveness means to absolve from payment or cancel a debt. If you have been seriously hurt, you might as well make the choice to forgive, cancel the debt. Maybe read a book and gain some knowledge on how to forgive someone, because there’s nothing you can do to change the past. How long do you plan to live with the pain in your heart? Although you can’t change the past, you can make a choice to change your response to it.

Cancel the debt and be free.

“Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:13-14)

…Father, the hour has come. Glorify and exalt and honor and magnify your Son, so that Your Son may glorify and extol and honor and magnify You. I believe what this is saying is that we cannot and will not glorify God unless He first glorifies us. We have to get into the place where He does the glorifying…

6.    There is power in the name of Jesus!
The Name of Jesus is the key that will set you free. Make a choice to start walking in the authority that is yours by delegation, and use the Name of Jesus to receive what belongs to you!

  • “For where two or three are gathered together in MY NAME, there am I in the midst of them” (Matt. 18:20).
  • “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In MY NAME shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues”  (Mark 16:17).
  • “And whatsoever ye shall ask in MY NAME, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son” (John 14:13).
  • “For whosoever shall call upon THE NAME OF THE LORD shall be saved” (Rom. 10:13).
  • “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS…” (Col. 3:17).
  • “Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in THE NAME OF THE LORD” (James 5:14).

7.    Know Your Authority in Christ Jesus
The Authority of the Believer. What does the bible say about this subject? Paul said we “reign in life.” We have the authority to rule and reign and have dominion in our life—in the life we have here and now! Romans 5:17 says we can reign in life—in this life—by Christ Jesus.

Maybe you say , “Well, I don’t see very many people ruling and reigning in life.” That’s right and one reason is that this truth hasn’t been proclaimed or taught as it should be. Hosea 4:6 says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge . . . .” Notice this verse doesn’t say sinners are destroyed for lack of knowledge. It says God’s people are destroyed because of their lack of knowledge.

This tells us that if you and I had knowledge of who you are in Christ and would make divine choices of the rights and privileges of their dominion—they wouldn’t be destroyed. One reason Satan is often able to reign, or rule, in the life of Christians is because those Christians do not realize the authority that has been given to them.

8.    We Gotta Watch the Words We Speak and Say What the Bible Says
If life and death are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21), how are you applying that power in your everyday life? The Word is like medicine, but it is most effective when applied properly. If I have a headache, I don’t put a Band-Aid on my head. 🙂

Every day we speak countless words, often paying very little attention to the words themselves. However, it is important to realize that we are creating our world by the words that we speak. Proverbs 18:21 in The Amplified Bible says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life].
So, if you want to change your life, change your words. Make that choice in your life; TODAY!

I found this scripture this morning: “You have tested my thoughts and examined my heart in the night. You have scrutinized me and found nothing amiss, for I am determined not to sin in what I say“.Psalm 17:3

9.    Choose to believe the healing scriptures in the bible.
Divine healing is an accomplished fact. It is a gift, like salvation, already paid for at Calvary. Have you accepted God’s gift of healing? Are you experiencing it in your life in full? If not, it’s time for you to possess the promise of healing and enjoy complete health in every area! One of the paramount questions believers ask today is not whether God is able to heal, but whether He is willing to heal. Is it always God’s will to heal? The answer is, “Most assuredly, yes!”

10.    Practice to pay your tithes.

When people set aside a set portion of their income for the Church, this is known as tithing.God Himself is speaking in Mal.3:10 and He is saying, “Prove Me in this.”This is the only time in the Word where God instructs us to prove Him, and it is the one area where most people have withdrawn from proving God.

When we stand on our covenant with God and exercise our rights as tithers, we lay a foundation for success and abundance. Satan has no chance against us. Tithing the tithe rebukes the devourer! When we resist Satan in the Name of Jesus, God’s rebuke is in action. God told the Israelites their words were stout against Him. They were confessing lack and want. It is important to speak our redemption in order for the tithe to produce.

Ok, today we came to 10 essentials; you can read the first essentials here. If there is one that you yourself like to add, write it in a comment and we might come to 100 essentials for our spiritual growth and development. The power of choice is to act upon these truths and to be doers of the word is always at hand. Our life is truly choice driven.
